October’s Diverse Business Advisory Board Meeting Highlights
On Monday, the 7th of October, the Diverse Business Board gathered at the National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering (NCEFE) on Attercliffe Road. The meeting kicked off with a tour of the state-of-the-art facility, showcasing NCEFE’s innovative work in food engineering.
The Board reviewed the success of the Meet the Buyer Procurement Event, which brought together over 80 businesses. The board also discussed the progress of the Council’s Growth Plan and provided valuable feedback on the direction of the plan.
The Board also took time to celebrate the first-year achievements of the Diverse Business Advisory Board, reviewing the priorities they’ve delivered on, and offering suggestions for what’s worked well and what could be improved.
A special thank you to everyone who contributed! Thank you to Co-Chairs Ben Locke and Kate Josephs. The Board looks forward to continuing their work together and building on this progress in the coming year.
