The new trading landscape

On the 1st January 2021 a new customs border will be created between the UK and the EU.

As goods move across the border there will be a significant increase in the requirements to declare the details of those goods via custom declarations. The accuracy, completeness and submission of the information and statements required to draw up a customs declaration will be critical to keeping goods moving and mitigating risks and liabilities. Supply chains that have been optimised for speed and fluidity will need to find the space and time for customs authorities to carry out checks and inspections.
