The Positive Action Team from West Yorkshire Police recently visited CATCH Harehills (Community Action To Create Hope) to learn of the amazing work they do in engaging young people from the local community in providing a safe space for volunteering and targeted provisions such as sports, arts, mentoring and community outreach work.

Chief Inspector Bash Anwar, Head of Positive Action for the force said “I have been really impressed at how the amazing work at CATCH has turned around the lives of these inspirational youths. I am really keen to continue working with them and hope that they will become Police Officers in the near future.

West Yorkshire Police is looking for people from our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds to apply to become Police Officers, so that our police force can better represent the communities that we serve and applications open again at the end of July 2020.
