The recent pandemic has highlighted the disparity and vulnerability of the BAME community. The growing body of data from ONS and Public Health England has verified these concerns. In partnership with the National Emergencies Trust (NET) via the UKCF (UK Community Foundations) YABA are working on a project to support BAME infrastructure by helping BAME organisations and groups access community funds. UKCF is the national membership association for community foundations which encompasses negotiating and managing national grant -making and funding opportunities on behalf of its members and providing direct technical assistance to member community foundations through its network. BAME led organisations are playing a pivotal role in ensuring that vital emergency funds reach those from these hard -hit communities, to get involved in this project please contact sharon@yaba.uk.com
