Maximise your businesses potential through a Circular Economy

Free online workshop, 2 November 2020, 12:00 – 13:30

Keen to find new business opportunities and potentially save money?  Looking for inspiration on how to create a more resilient, environmentally responsible business?  Then this online workshop, could be for you.

Delivered in conjunction with the University of Leeds, and part of Circular Yorkshire month, the workshop will:

  • introduce circular economy and discuss how it could open new doors for your business; circular economy includes making better use of materials, components and products
  • showcase companies that are already working with a circular economy in mind
  • explain how to tap into additional business support and further information
  • include a short break-out session to discuss business opportunities, specifically for textile, engineering and furniture manufacturers.

Counter Terrorism Training and Awareness

The Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Awareness eLearning tool is free interactive tool designed for all UK based companies and organisations.  It provides nationally recognised counter terrorism guidance to help businesses better understand, and mitigate against, current terrorist methodology.

Kirklees Emergency Alert text service

Kirklees Emergency Alert is a free text message alerting system for Kirklees businesses, operated by Kirklees Council’s Emergency Planning Team.

In an emergency, businesses signed up to the service will receive a free text message. The message will contain information about the emergency and recommended actions businesses should take to help keep their staff, customers and buildings safe.
