Leeds Mindful Employer Network
Leeds Mindful Employer Network brings local employers together to champion positive mental health at work. It’s free to join for any employer or business owner across Leeds and West Yorkshire interested in workplace wellbeing.
Our Leeds network was established in 2013 and we have been promoting wellbeing at work ever since. We are led by Leeds Mind alongside a Steering Group of network members.
Our members are regional employers, business owners and staff from a wide range of sectors and industries. We seek to be representative of every part of our local business community.

- Compliance with legislation

Leeds Mind’s South Asian communities engagement project
Our Suicide Bereavement Services offer vital support to hundreds of people who have lost someone to suicide every year. However, we know that getting suicide bereavement support can sometimes be much harder for people from culturally diverse communities.
The reasons for this are complex and varied, but we know from previous work on attitudes to mental health, it tends to focus on stigma, shame, guilt and embarrassment, as well as pressure from families or community groups.
With that in mind, we are inviting people from South Asian backgrounds to share their experiences and opinions on accessing suicide bereavement support. We hope that this will help us to better understand the barriers that South Asian people face, so that we can help more people with similar experiences.
