Are you interested in working with our undergraduate students? Join us in creating meaningful work experience opportunities that benefit both your organisation and the next generation of professionals.
We are reaching out on behalf of the Careers+Placements Team at Leeds Trinity University as we are eager to connect with local organisations to explore collaboration opportunities.
We have students from a range of undergraduate courses including Business, Photography, English, Law, Computer Science, Film, TV Production, Psychology, Criminology, Journalism, Philosophy, Children Young People and Families and Sports and Wellbeing.
All Leeds Trinity University students undertake a period of work experience integrated and assessed as part of their degree, known as a placement. This enables students to develop their skills, demonstrate their attributes and gain insight into sectors and roles they may wish to go into. Simultaneously, it offers support to local organisations with ongoing work and opens the door for them to connect with emerging talent on the rise. Our students are studying a wide variety of fields, and we invite organisations from all sectors to actively engage with our diverse academic community.
By hosting a placement or project, you are able to connect with emerging talent and can benefit from the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that our students bring. Equipped with up-to-date academic knowledge and enthusiasm, our students can contribute to your ongoing projects and tasks, providing valuable support.
Second Year Placements: Our 2nd year students must complete between 150-210 hours on placement which can be undertaken either part-time throughout the academic year, or full-time for 5-6 weeks starting from 14 April 2025.
Final Year Projects: Between November 2024 and March 2025, our final year students are required to undertake a Professional Learning Through Work module. This will require students to work independently on a particular issue, theory, or area of research which is relevant to their studies and apply this within a genuine practical, ‘real-life’ work-based scenario, with resulting outcomes that are of measurable benefit to the organisation.
If you have any placement or project ideas, please connect with our team at Placements@Leedstrinity.ac.uk. If there are any immediate or wider opportunities for our students to support local organisations, we welcome the opportunity to delve into the specifics and explore collaborations in more detail.
