start to design your business.

sense to start there as well. It also means that you can easily describe your ideal customer to
fellow business owners when looking for referrals. And that makes it easier for people to
recommend you!

 

So, how do you get that detailed understanding? We recommend starting by creating customer
personas or avatars – it takes time but it’s the right thing to do!

 

Imagine not doing this and saying your service or product is for SMEs. There are over 5 million in
the UK ranging from solo entrepreneurs to businesses with up to 250 staff and £250m turnover.
Can your product or service really be right for all of them? Probably not! So get specific!
