The School of Management would like to thank all the YABA members who have contributed to the focus groups as art of our research looking at the impact of Covid on SMES. These have already generated significant interest from a range of stakeholders and business support providers.
Initial findings suggest that whilst Covid and been a major challenge for many businesses, smaller firms have also found that this has been an opportunity to innovate, adopt new technology and to refocus their strategic priorities. Our respondents so far have acknowledged that recovery will be difficult and will occur over an extended time period, but most also felt that the experience of Covid and lessons learnt from the experience of Lockdown would affect their strategy and operations in the future.
The next stage of the research is a survey which will allow us to better understand the breadth of responses seen to the challenge of Covid-19. The impact of this will ultimately be informed by the extent of our response and we would be immensely grateful if you YABA members could help with this research and spend 15 to 20 minutes completing the confidential survey – please click on the link below to access this:
