We have declared ourselves a candidate city for the 2025 title for UK City of Culture 2025, a designation awarded to a UK city every four years.
The UK City of Culture title offers so many positive opportunities for Bradford including increased investment, a transformation in our tourism and visitor economy, significant regeneration opportunities as well as long-term social impacts around wellbeing, social cohesion and volunteering.
Our plan is to bid on behalf of the entire district. Our bid will tell distinctive and compelling stories of Bradford’s rich heritage and our diverse communities with a strong focus on our young people offering them multiple opportunities to develop their creative skills in the years ahead.
In addition to the social, economic and cultural benefits that come with this title, the designation also provides Bradford a once in a generation opportunity for boosting confidence in the district and telling new distinctive stories of who we are to the rest of the UK and the world.
There are a number of ways as a business you can be involved, with different benefits depending on which level you come in as, there is the opportunity to be either a Bid Partner or a Club Member which we can go in further detail with you.

• Bid Partner £5K+
• 2025 Bid Club Premium member £1000-£4999
• 2025 Bid Club member -£250-£999
