West Yorkshire Business Boost is a new government-funded business support programme, funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The programme is delivered by market-leading business support experts, Exemplas, and a consortium of industry-leading partners, to provide your business with the advice, action plans and knowledge you need to add valuable and measurable improvements to your business. This new programme could be just what you need to catapult your businesses to a future of growth and success.
The programme focusses on support in three specific areas: Export, Innovation and Leadership. If your business is an SME based in West Yorkshire, you’re able to benefit from all three services.
Export
The Export service focusses on delivering Export Action Plans to SMEs that are currently exporting or aspire to export, providing you with the technical, geographical and sector-specific knowledge, advice and plans needed to identify and overcome existing barriers to export. The service will position and raise the profile of your business on a global level. Building on our experience and capabilities, delivery is supported by our partners Chamber International, Medilink and Sustainable X who are experts in their fields and have strong international networks.
Innovation
The Innovation service works to identify/overcome challenges and barriers to business growth. Initially conducting a comprehensive assessment, which leads to the development of bespoke Innovation Action Plans. This service will empower your business to gain a greater strategic focus, with advice on how to elevate your growth potential, and provide the tools necessary for sustained success. It is perfect for SMEs who have an ambition to grow through new products, services or the development of processes to improve their productivity and resilience. This service is supported by Leeds Beckett University and Sustainable X.
Leadership
The Leadership service is available to businesses who have benefitted from our Innovation service and will strengthen the support of innovation by nurturing your internal leadership capabilities. SME leaders will benefit from EQi assessments, personalised Leadership Action Plans, workshops, an exclusive peer network and a dedicated grant-match funded leadership coach. The service better equips your business to lead improvements and provides access to a wider network of business support.
