Although the UK has recently left the EU, collaboration and funding opportunities with the EU countries continue thanks to the UK Government associating with the EU’s Horizon Europe programme.
Horizon Europe follows Horizon 2020 and the first calls open in April 2021, with UK scientists, researchers and businesses able to access grant funding on equivalent terms to EU organisations.
Horizon Europe has an agreed budget of €95.5bn and organisations from Associated Countries can participate, lead consortia and receive grant funding from Horizon Europe in the same way as those from Member States.
