Since starting hosting events back in 2021, Go4Growth have up to now run in excess of 60 events. The events we host are a mixture of in person and virtually run and cover an array of topics designed to help SME/VCSE organisations succeed in public service bids. Our training events are fully funded by our public sector clients, meaning they’re freely available to those wishing to attend.
Go4Growth are no strangers to hosting events but that doesn’t stop us from continuously working to improve the events we run and how we run them. Prior to our events going live we issue a pre-event questionnaire which gives attendees the chance to have an input into how the event is run and allows our team to tailor content for attendees get the most out of the event. Following an event we issue a feedback questionnaire which gives attendees the chance to offer any feedback as to how they found the event, how we may be able to improve going forward and to suggest any topics they would like to see us cover in the future.
Feedback is super important to us and is addressed in team catch ups before being used to tailor our future events. Examples of where we have addressed feedback in how we run our events include our decision following the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to host the majority of our events virtually. When we first started running webinars, we had no choice to but to host our events virtually. Since restrictions have been lifted, we have since hosted a number of in person events but what we have found is that 57% of our survey responses indicated that people have come to prefer virtually hosted events.
In addition to this we have tailored the event start times and duration based on feedback responses and have also increased the interactivity of events to ensure that attendees are getting the most out of the sessions.
