Go4Growth are committed to developing a marketplace that removes barriers to small business providers and enables the public sector to support greater supplier diversity at the same time as fulfilling its responsibilities to encourage free and open competition and value for money.
Go4Growth offers public sector organisations a partnership programme of practical support to implement procurement excellence and help secure broader and more diverse participation from local micro, SME and VCSE businesses providers.
As a result of our partnership with Bradford Council, Go4Growth managed to support over 65 Bradford based providers during 2021-22, rising to over 400 providers during 2022-23. Of the 400+ providers we have worked with in Bradford, at least 89% of those identify as a micro/sole trader or small business, 42% identify as BAME led and 40% identify as Female led.
From working with these providers, Go4Growth identified the top 3 issues that Bradford based providers wanted to overcome through working with us to be:
83% – “We would be keen to develop our bid-writing skills”.
79% – “We want to understand how we demonstrate our value to public sector procurers”.
67% – “We are keen to develop our partnership skills to help us build strong partnerships”.
The support we offer to overcome these issues can be accessed in a number of ways, here are just some of the ways Bradford based providers interacted with us in the past year:
- 50+ events held with over 3,500+ attendees nationally.
- 4,000+ content pieces, research & polls.
- 257 1:1 coaching sessions provided (since 2022).
- 1,231 engagement actions linked directly to Bradford providers.
Looking forward to 2023-24, Go4Growth are delighted to formalise our commitment to our social mission by officially becoming a Social Enterprise, reinvesting at least 50% of profits back into supporting SMEs and VCSEs. Through our partnership with Bradford council, we will continue to invest more time into creating tailored content, training and events for local providers.
