On Friday 4 March, the Huddersfield Town Foundation was delighted to welcome attendees of its weekly football session in partnership with Ready Steady Active to the John Smith’s Stadium!

Taking place every Sunday at Kick Off Dewsbury, the session gives girls from a South Asian and Muslim background aged 11 – 18 a chance to play football in a friendly environment, free of charge.

A group of regular attendees and RSA Director Rashida Salloo were entertained in a hospitality box for the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Peterborough United, with the Club celebrating International Women’s Day.

The match was also the Club’s dedicated ‘Terriers Together’ match for the 2021/22 season, in which it raises awareness of the extensive work being done to welcome everyone into the Town family.

The Sunday session is part of the Foundation’s Premier League Kicks programme, which includes an additional Women and Girls session at Leeds Road Sports Complex every Thursday evening.

If you would like further information about either session, please contact PL Kicks Manager Joe Scargill in the first instance: joe.scargill@htafcfoundation.com or 01484 503 773.

The Town Foundation looks forward to continuing its work with Ready Steady Active and appreciates all they have done to facilitate such activity thus far.
