How will studying Business Excellence models and various other disciplines help smaller organisations to survive and thrive beyond the current pandemic?

Our speaker is not “Bob the Builder” but one of our very own Entrepreneurs in Residence – Martin Allison.

Martin will discuss his own learnings and observations from various disciplines and experiences and share some practical thoughts relevant to business owners, directors, students and academics alike.

Martin is an energetic and enthusiastic individual despite having worked in professional financial services for over 30 years! Subsequently he has sat on ‘all sides of the table’ whether that be as entrepreneur, consultant, trusted advisor, chairman or non-executive.

For many years he successfully led various corporate and commercial bank teams, building a rapport with customers and transforming the reputation and performance of those units he was associated, including the international trade and payment division of a major UK bank. He has also operated in public, private, sporting and third sector organizations and is a qualified banker, sales, administration and franchise professional.

He has advised companies of all sizes on merger & acquisition activity, re-structuring and capital raising and has been associated with various University Business Schools in his career including IPAG, Leeds, Duke, Harvard and of course, Bradford where he gained his MBA.

His diverse range of experiences has allowed him to develop a high level of competence in strategic planning and implementation, innovation, governance, risk management, coaching and leadership. He is fully certified and licensed practitioner of the Value Builder System.
