YABA Focus group in partnership with the University of Bradford Tuesday 23rd June 3:30pm Personal Invitation to Support the School of Management in setting the agenda post-Covid
YABA is supporting the University of Bradford’s School of Management in carrying out pioneering research aimed at:
- Understanding first-hand how small and medium sized businesses have been impacted
- Creating recommended solutions to minimise the economic fallout
- Building evidence for the support needed by business to influence other stakeholders
Facilliated by Dr David Spicer Director of Business Engagement and Director of Digital Learning at the University of Bradford, YABA members were able to contribute to this research on Tuesday 23rd June 3:30pm, where their views contributed to the research which would support the developing agenda for enhanced support for smaller businesses post-lockdown.
YABA Proud of Pakistan Clubs Fundraising Efforts
The Yorkshire Asian Business Association is privileged and proud of the Pakistan Club’s fundraising efforts and subsequent donation of the surgical masks to our local heroes who are fighting hard against the virus and putting themselves at risk. “Pakistan Club were delighted to be able to donate much needed PPE to local care homes in Kirklees” said Basharat Ali President of Pakistan Club. In the photo Basharat together with Luqman Rashid and Amarjit Singh are seen handing over face masks to staff at Linson Court Care Home in Batley and Leader of Kirklees Council Shabir Pandor. Surgical masks were also donated to Priestley Care Home in Batley.
Lunch and Learn with Sobiya 8th July 2020
In partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), YABA will be hosting a lunch and learn webinar with the award winning Sobiya .
Bring your own lunch and listen to Sobiya speak about what drives the decisions we make in business, the importance of clear goal setting during this pandemic and having the right support to get the outcomes and success that you want in your business/ career, citing examples of how she did it!
Sobiya Jawaid a Life and Business Coach, International Speaker, diversity and inclusion coach, educator, charity worker and she also is a European Silver Medallist Kickboxer.
